mini explorer

Recommended age: 2 years and up

We have always been told “don't play with your food!” However, at Funkeynetics children are encouraged to play with their food, just as they are encouraged to play with other everyday objects. Why? By playing with the objects that surround them, children are able to deepen their understanding of the world.

Led by Funkeynetics resident occupational therapist, our little explorer workshops will see that kids learn about health and nutrition while creating (edible) masterpiece. We will play with broccoli, stamp with celery and create with kale. Little ones will develop their fine motor skills while promoting positive eating behaviors and habits.

Fundamental Purpose: Increase children’s developmental fine motor skills, promote positive eating behaviors, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition.
